Sheet Metal Fabricator

Job Details: Full-time ( San Rafael, CA ).

Qualifications Required: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication High School diploma or equivalent. Excellent math skills. Ability to lift heavy material and tools. Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications. Ability to transfer field measurements and drawings to sketches for shop fabrication.

Responsibilities: Utilize and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine the materials and method for fabrication. Select the appropriate type and gauge of sheet metal to be used. Measure, layout, mark dimensions of material to be fabricated using scribes, rulers, calculators, and squares. Utilize both hand tools and shop machinery to cut, bend, form, shape, connect, and assemble sheet metal. Knowledge of use and maintenance of shears, brakes, drills, rollers, saws, grinders, spot welder etc. Maintaining and ordering inventory of raw materials to perform necessary fabrication. Schedule team and self to maximize efficiency of production for installation crews.

Job Description:  We are a full service Sheet Metal and HVAC Contractor looking for a shop foreman to fabricate and assemble ductwork, sheet metal fittings, and architectural sheet metal flashings. In addition to fabrication responsibilities the individual will need to have a skill set to work both independently and with others, to order materials, schedule deliveries, direct production team, ensure a safe working environment, and organize their workspace (shop).
